Cabcast BasicPro is our mid-range offering. BasicPro removes the need to take a USB drive round each machine and upload the adverts manually. Instead, BasicPro, using the power of the Internet, allows you to update your adverts from the comfort of your own office with the minimum of effort required.
Price
Cabcast BasicPro is priced from GBP 299 (ex. VAT). This price is universal across our private hire vehicle (PHV) option and our Hackney carriage option. To understand the differences between the Hackney carriage and PHV options, we have outlined this below.
Private Hire Vehicle Option
Cabcast BasicPro uses an adjustable universal fitting and will work with virtually all vehicles. If the vehicles you are working with require an alternative fitting, let us know and we can work to develop an appropriate solution.
Screen size
- Cabcast BasicPro for private hire vehicles uses one 7 inch screen (screen size can be increased)
Button-less screen design
- There are no buttons on the Cabcast PHV screen - this keeps the passenger's focus purely on the screen content, without any distractions. We are able to add external buttons, such as volume control, power buttons, or anything else you may require.
Mounting
- Cabcast BasicPro for private hire vehicles uses a universal custom headrest with a built-in display. This headrest can be installed in either the front passenger or drivers seat
Number of screens per vehicle
- Up to two Cabcast BasicPro headrests can be installed into one PHV - a unit on both front seats
Storing content
- Cabcast BasicPro for PHVs can be updated automatically over the Internet. This reduces the man-power that is required to run Cabcast BasicPro. Our own custom-built controller will manage all the advert management in the cab and download any new adverts that you wish to display.
Hackney Carriage Option
Cabcast BasicPro for Hackney carriages uses a larger headrest display compared to that of PHVs. The headrest is mounted into either the driver or passenger side of the vehicle, on the driver-side partition.
Screen size
- Cabcast BasicPro for Hackney carriages use one 10.4 inch screen (screen size can be increased)
Button-less screen design
- There are no buttons on the Cabcast Hackney carriage screen - this keeps the passenger's focus completely on the screen content with no distractions. We are able to add external buttons, such as volume control, power buttons, or anything else you may require.
Mounting
- Cabcast BasicPro for Hackney carriages is replaces the driver's headrest. The display will be on the driver's side of the partition, ensuring protection against tampering from passengers.
Number of screens per vehicle
- One Cabcast BasicPro unit can be installed into each Hackney carriage.
Storing content
- Cabcast BasicPro for Hackney carriages are updated via a 3G Internet Connection. This is a low-cost and time-saving method of running advertising content on the screen. The content will be downloaded automatically (via the Cabcast BasicPro controller) straight to the cab - without any interruption to the current adverts.
Installation
Cabcast BasicPro is a breeze to install into PHVs and Hackney carriages. We've made it easy to wire up to the power in both options so that you can get your network of taxis and PHVs up and running in no time.
The main power is drawn from the 12V power supply. This allows the headrest to automatically power on and off with the engine. Of course, we're dedicated to helping you get Cabcast up and running, so along with comprehensive user guides, our engineers are always just a phone call away.
If you are unable to install Cabcast BasicPro yourself, we offer a Setup & Installation service. Our qualified auto electricians will visit your base and install Cabcast in your vehicles.
